Henry FERRIER was born in Marseille of Cévennes parents, hard at work. From an early age, he was fascinated by the mystery of lines and colors. For lack of funds, he painted on planks and wrapping paper. Then comes the war. He will carry within him the imperative need to resist the injustices and the madness of men. "Painting can be a remedy against complicit silences". He also discovers books, these fascinating objects unknown to his family environment. Tireless explorer, hypersensitivity constantly on the alert, he paints and writes in the silence of his Atelier de Provence, in the heart of the Alpilles.
